By the end of February 2026, the main business revenue of the efficient and eco-friendly textile industrial cluster in Zouping, Shandong Province, exceeded 20 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.3%. It has grown into one of the largest and most intelligent textile industrial clusters in northern China.
Relying on 5G, the Internet of Things, big data and the self-developed I3.0 intelligent management system, Weiqiao Textile, the core enterprise of the cluster, has built a full-chain intelligent matrix covering spinning, printing & dyeing, home textiles and apparel. The intelligent spinning workshops realize fully unmanned fiber conveyance across all processes. The labor input per ten thousand spindles in the spinning workshop is reduced to around 10 workers, with yarn breakage handling efficiency improved by 40%. The extra-wide printing and dyeing plant adopts digital twin technology, cutting energy consumption by 28%. The whole production lines for home textiles and apparel are fully visualized, shortening the order delivery cycle by 30%.
Green and low-carbon concepts run through the entire industrial chain. Weiqiao Textile has comprehensively carried out carbon footprint calculation and management for its products, and promoted technologies such as low-temperature dyeing, reclaimed water reuse and waste heat recovery. The factory park achieves 100% compliance rate for industrial wastewater discharge and a reclaimed water reuse rate of 75%, earning the title of National-level Green Industrial Park.
The cluster delivers remarkable driving effects. Currently, Zouping is home to more than 200 textile enterprises, forming a complete industrial chain ranging from cotton processing, spinning and weaving, printing and finishing to home textiles, apparel and industrial fabrics. It provides direct employment for over 80,000 people and drives jobs for another 300,000 workers in related sectors, acting as a core engine for the high-quality development of the local economy.
